Multimedia, Times Select etc.

Well, I have watched the nytimes on the web for what feels like for the longest time and I kind of feel they might have just successfully transitioned to a multi modal content delivery model.

I still get the same visceral feel with their content on the web.

I am kind of glad they stayed on their own [ofcourse helped by their own acquisitions] and not necessarily sell out on videos via someone else.

The movie, The Constant Gardener

I loved it, I loved it, I loved it. Ofcourse the director is Fernando Mireilles of City of God fame. And the issue the movie addresses - continues in all of third world, fourth world, in the emerging bio powerhouse of India - all the cheap generic drug alternatives - being tested on the healthy young adult populations far away from the countries where the drugs will ultimately be used, and for a few more easy rupees, folks give in with or without informed consent.

The year of Self-talk

This week has been so much self-talk - I want to externalize into a dry wall. Maybe because I caught up with so many people over the holidays amidst working days - the rhythms led me directly to taking stock of things as they stand. And such slipping sand - guess what, there's only more of it - get comfortable - try internalizing it without self-talk:-)

Stuff - trying to catch up vicariouly on CES.

Fashionistas, design conscious consumers[isn't that the demographic now!], the ipod bore semblances to transistors - taking a page off retro is a design trend now [no pun intended] -check out the nokia7280.

Ready or not - here I am - 2006

Friends, trips down the memory lane with classmates, no dessication this time - I am in a new place this year, just when i thought i'd no longer mark by the year - well, maybe by the month - actually just living out each day should get me by:-)
The gusty winds on saturday and sunday morning had me worried nearly - South Bay mostly escaped serious damage.
I managed avial and payar thoran and the guests survived my food - might I add,I actually liked the food:-)
Flights more of them, atleast one over Ed Levin, 10% lesser body fat, even lesser nerves make my 2006 resolutions:-) A paper or 2 and a phd admit or 2 would be swell. Ahh well - i shall take stock another time.
